Just 7 months since Kim’s last mammogram, she put her girls to bed (Chuck was out of town) and stretched out in bed after a busy day. A quick unusual movement of crossing her arms across her chest led to a blessing in disguise. She felt something odd and discovered what appeared to be a lump. When Chuck came back in town, he agreed that it appeared to be a lump and she called the doctor that Monday. On Tuesday, March 8th, she saw the Nurse Practitioner who was able to see the lump and concurred that she needed a new mammogram and ultrasound. In typical Kim fashion, she took action and had the testing done that day that ended up with a biopsy that same day. On Friday, March 11th, the call came that confirmed a diagnosis of breast cancer and so the fight begins…
