Kim was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer in February.  Her tumor is inoperable because of its size and location and has metastasized to her liver.  Since receiving this diagnosis, we've learned that many pancreatic cancer patients have similar stories; this cancer is particularly hard to detect, with few side effects until it reaches late stages.   While this news was obviously very difficult, Kim and her husband and children have been so encouraged and touched by the generosity and continuing support of family members, friends, neighbors and coworkers who heard of her diagnosis.

Kim is receiving amazing care at Siteman Cancer Center, overseen by an oncologist who specializes in pancreatic and liver cancer and is top of her field.  At the recommendation of her doctors, Kim has undergone two different chemotherapy regimens (Folferanox and, currently, Gemzar/Abraxane).  This website is designed to be  a place where we can update Kim's many supporters about her treatment and overall health.  Kim so appreciates your caring and support.  Thank for being a part of her life!
