I wanted to start CaringBridge to update the ones I love and that mean so much in my life and document my journey.
As I have a family history of breast cancer with my mom, who is a survivor and a dear sister that passed from it, I knew it was a possibility. However, on June 30th 2020 hearing those word's "You have breast cancer" was surreal and completely life changing.
My journey thus far, has been obviously challenging in more ways than I could have expected, but also surprisingly positive in so many ways. The outpouring of love and positivity has been overwhelming, and so much more appreciated than I can possibly express. My outlook on life and everyday's little blessing's are incredible. I am making sure to take them all in.
COVID has put an unexpected challenge with not being able to connect with family and friends face to face, but I cherish the messages and phone calls!
I will make sure to update this site with new information as I continue on my journey. It may be an easier tool for those of you that would like to check in now and then.
