Welcome to my CaringBridge website. I am using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. I appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.

My story starts on Friday March 25th. I went home from work not feeling well and went to urgent care later that night with stomach pains, nausea and vomiting. They did some blood work and said it was a GI viral infection and gave me a prescription for Zofran to help with the vomiting and told me to take ibuprofen for the pain. That weekend was terrible, and I felt like crap when Monday rolled around but I took a Zofran and headed to work to try and tough it out. I only made it an hour before they had to call 911 and I was taken to Thedacare Neenah ER where they determined I had a gastric ulcer that ruptured. So I was taken in for emergency surgery to repair that. During surgery, the amazing Dr. Schultz, saw something he didn't like and did a biopsy. After surgery I stayed in the hospital for a week and during that time I got the results of the biopsy. It was cancer,  a type of Non-Hodgkin lymphoma called Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma of intra-abdominal lymph nodes...not what I was expecting. The next few weeks were filled with a lot of doctor appointments, test and the start of chemo.
💚 Thank you for visiting and joining me on the journey. I will try to post updates frequently 💚
