My Journey : Aug 31st 2017, I was hit with that one word nobody wants to hear, Cancer. I will never forget this day, as it was forever life changing. I never thought this would be my life, but here I am. I am in the 6% of woman to have this rare & fast mutating form of breast cancer. Metaplastic breast cancer. Today Sept. 7th I had an appt. With my oncologist @ 7:40 which we just got home @ 10:30, another appt. For echocardiogram at 12:15, @ 2:40 I do labs and gentic testing for other cancers. Sept. 11th I have a pet scan done as well as going to some chemo classes to prepare myself. Tomorrow they will be putting my port in.. Wednesday Chemo starts. Ac is once every 2 weeks x 4= 8 weeks, Ac is Adriamycin & Cytoxan which is the medication. Taxol is weekly ×12 weeks w/ total of 20 weeks. Last will be the masectomy.
