I am sure that by now many of you have heard that Kevin had an aneurysm on Saturday afternoon. He was on the coast with my Mom, Ryan, Tim and Elli (Tim's gf) and was airlifted to Memorial Hospital in Santa Rosa.
A team of surgeons was ready for him as soon as he got to the hospital and they did everything they could to repair the damaged artery - by all accounts they worked a miracle given the severity of the aneurysm. Dad lost a lot blood, but over the course of yesterday and last night his vitals have begun to improve and he is trending in the right direction. He is currently in the ICU and is being monitored around the clock - we still have a long ways to go to get through this, but Dad is fighting this with everything he has.
The doctors have scheduled a clean up procedure for this afternoon to flush the wound, remove sponges etc. We should have more information after the procedure and we will keep you all updated on this site.
You all and your support mean so much to my parents and it would mean a lot if you could all say an extra prayer for Dad and keep him and my mom in your thoughts as we get through this tough time.
