On June 12, 2020 we made a trip to the emergency room because Kev had been experiencing terrible stomach pain. It had started off sporadically in May, but we held off going to dr because of covid. We had an video appointment June 8th with our primary dr who scheduled tests.
By Friday Kevs pain was constant. So off to the ER we went at 5am. Within a few hours they told us he most likely has cancer and its in his stomach and liver.
He also had a blood clot in his splenic vein and needed to be admitted to the hospital. He was able to be released Sunday June 14th and come home. June 18th was the official day the oncologist told us that there is no surgery or radiation available to treat this cancer as it is wide spread. Our only option would be chemo. The Dr told us that without treatment Kev has 6months... with treatment maybe 2-3 years.
Kev did not want to do Chemo so we are going the alternative medicine and homeopathic route. Everyday has had its own set of struggles but we continue to trust that GOD is moving in the midst of it all. Our prayer is that God would heal Kev completely but also that we would be faithful ambassadors of Christ, pointing ALL to the One who saves us all. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him would not die but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him” John 3:16-17. “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved”.
