Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Kevin Jaeger had an accident skiing at Sundown on Sunday, February 17. Kevin is a very experienced skier and from what we are hearing it was a relatively simple fall that went wrong. Kevin was taken to U of I hospitals that same day via ambulance through the snow storm (including going in the ditch) for surgery. He has two fractured vertebrae (T2 and T3), a fracture near the base of his skull and 6 broken ribs. He is in the Neurological and Spinal ICU at the U of I.  This is going to be a long road of recovery, but if anyone is determined to do it, its Skinny.

Well wishes can be left here. Prayers are needed. Prognosis is quite unclear at this time, it’s just too early to tell. We'll try to post brief updates here for everyone.  The outpouring from Kevin's many friends has been nothing short of amazing. Overwhelming in fact. As much as Skinny hates attention we felt this the best way to let people know how he is doing so his family and coworkers can concentrate on helping Skinny. Pray for miracles, they can happen. - Creed
