Kevin was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer in July 2016. Due to the extreme aggressiveness of this cancer, it has not been responsive to the many different chemo infusions, including some of the strongest drugs out there. Unfortunately, the cancer not only wraps around the pancreas, but the main artery and vein, duodenum, GI track and stomach lining, and has spread to the liver. There are no further treatments or surgery options available. The internal bleeding and cancer fluid filling his body cannot be stopped. Kevin is under palliative care soon to be hospice care, and kept close to comfortable as possible with pain medications.
