Welcome to our CaringBridge website. Our brother and friend Kevin is facing a tough road ahead and would love your prayers, and support.  In January 2019 Kevin was diagnosed with end stage liver cirrhosis after about 6 months of losing weight (60#) and developing weakness and belly swelling (ascites).  He’s been in and out of the hospital these past 2 months with need for draining off fluid (ascites) around his organs in his belly with a procedure (paracentesis) every couple of days. He’s also developed frequent infections requiring IV antibiotics, since liver failure leads to immune system troubles.  Kevin is currently in the hospital (3/5/19) and will be going to MUSC soon to begin the evaluation for a liver transplant.
Kevin’s sisters Dana, Christy, and Neva are using CaringBridge to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and prayers for Kevin and our family.  We will share your comments with him.  You can sign up for notifications when we update this page.
Thanks,
Christy
