UPDATE: July 29, 2020     After a 4 week off and on again hospitalization as Kerry went from being unable to eat and constant pain, we received a diagnosis on July 24 that Kerry's cancer had returned.  The diagnosis was metastasized breast cancer in the omentum, colon, bladder and uterus.  The oncologist has said that it is aggressive and advanced.  This was certainly not the news we had hoped for.  The prayers of the saints were for a different result but as all prayer is directed to change the hearts of the saints and not our God, we rest in the fact that God has a plan so much greater than any of us.  Casting Crowns has a song that touched both of us before either of us had ever been diagnosed with cancer.  "Praise You in the Storm" is the best description of this particular providence we find ourselves in.  Our God is powerful and awesome and we are His servants, however he chooses to use us.  We commit our destiny into the hands of the one who made us.  Praise the Lord.

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

CaringBridge seems to be the perfect place to keep a growing list of friends and family updated on Kerry's battle with stage 3 breast cancer.  It is a long story but we are now entering the year+ long treatment phase. The chemo treatments will start on 10/9/17 and go through November 2018 and we are using a recently approved method called cold cap therapy to help her keep her hair.  We will update this site to keep people informed as we progress.  Please pray for peace and strength as we enter this difficult and trying time as we deal with this difficult providence.  We are deeply rooted in our faith and know that the Father knows Kerry by name.  We trust in His hand to guide the doctors, medical personnel and us on the road ahead.
