Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place regarding Kent's Multiple Myeloma.    We have appreciated our family and friends support,  words of hope and encouragement to date.  Thank you for visiting this site.

Kent was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma (a cancer of the blood) August 10, 2020.  It was identified through a fortunate chance CT scan in the Emergency Room for another issue, totally unrelated to blood cancer.     He has completed four rounds of chemotherapy at Tennessee Oncology- Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga; which he has tolerated well.   Most recently, Kent completed a physical evaluation for autologous stem cell transplant (using his own stem cells) at the Sarah Cannon Cancer for Blood Cancer at TriStar Centennial in Nashville.   This evening we learned Kent has qualified as a candidate for a transplant.  We will begin the transplant journey shortly after Christmas in Nashville at Sarah Cannon.

We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and look forward to sharing updates with you as we move into 2021.    Please keep Kent and those charged with his care in your prayers.
