On April 12th, 2017 at 5:24 pm, Kent was riding his motorcycle home from work and was stuck by a Jeep SUV. He was transported to the Concord ER by ambulance and then flown by life flight helicopter to the Carolinas Medical Center Surgical trauma center. His injuries are extensive including a torn aorta and numerous breaks in his leg, both arms, ribs, shoulder, and pelvis. He had internal bleeding and had two blood transfusions. He has received 14 units of blood.
He had an emergency surgery to relieve the swelling on his leg. There are numerous surgeries in his future. He is at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC on the trauma ward.
