Kenny Asmus

Kenny's story starts probably over a year ago when he battle Prostate Cancer and is now currently in remission from that.  The biggest significant health concern happened in February while vacationing in Florida with his sister, Marilyn.  The day before Donna & Kenny were to fly out, he went in with difficulty breathing and thoughts of possible pneumonia.   Before any of that could be diagnosed, Kenny was informed that his heart and kidneys were not doing well.  They decided that he needed open heart surgery and quadruple bypass.  Yes, IN FLORIDA!   That 3 week vacation turned into a 6 week process.  


Donna & Kenny were able to fly home to Iowa and continue his healing and therapy.  They were then informed that Kenny had multiple myeloma and would need to start chemotherapy for that.  He is about halfway through those treatments.   He continues to have a lot of battles and most significantly is the trouble breathing, weakness and concerning spots on his lungs.
