On August 18th, 2017 Kennedy was taken to the Emergency room for a very low Red Blood Cell count. She was then transferred via ambulance to the Saint Francis Medical Center where on August 20th Kennedy was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and then transported to Saint Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Memphis Tennessee. ALL is characterized by the overproduction and accumulation of cancerous, immature white blood cells. Kennedy will currently spend the next 6-8 weeks at Saint Jude's undergoing Chemotherapy.
