Ken was changing a car battery Sunday morning and had a sharp pain in his upper back. Jan was taking him to the ER when he had a severe heart attack about 5 minutes from the hospital. He lost consciousness and stopped breathing, but they were able to resuscitate him in the ER and performed a heart cath to discover a complete blockage of his right coronary artery. The doctors installed two stints and put him on a ventilator and balloon pump.
