As some of you are aware, our beautiful sister Kelsey is busy preparing for her open heart surgery on May 3. She has a large 4.6 cm aneurysm in her aorta and will be undergoing surgery to repair the aneurysm and possibly replace her Aortic valves.

After having COVID last October, she was taken in for a CT scan where they found she had developed a pulmonary embolism as well as an embolism in her leg from COVID.  Both were treated with medication and monitored.  During that scan they also discovered the large aneurysm in her heart.

After genetic testing they confirmed she has a rare genetic disorder which caused the aneurysm. We now know this type of aneurysm  is 100% fatal if left untreated.

We thank God for the Divine intervention and series of God moments which led to her diagnosis as well as her placement with an amazing team of Cardiologists and Cardiovascular Surgeon. Kelsey’s faith has been at the forefront of her strength and grace as she navigates through this intense process.

Kelseys surgery May 3rd will have her in hospital ICU for four days and in the hospital for 10, with a 4-6 week recovery (depending on how the surgery goes).

Her oldest Kiley is graduating in May as well so a lot of wheels are in motion.

Below is the sign up for a Meal train.  Any help would be lovingly appreciated.
