On Thursday, August 26th, Kelsee was one of the Marines injured in the heinous sucide bombing attack at the Kabul Airport in Afghanistan.  We are thankful she is alive and our hearts our broken for those that lost their lives.  We are lucky that Kelsee's friend and fellow Marine, Molly, was by her side while she was quickly moved to a hospital in Germany to be stabilized in order to make the 10hr flight to Walter Reed Hospital in the US.   Kelsee arrived at Walter Reed on Saturday evening (8/28) where Glen and Stacey anxiously were waiting to see their daughter.  Kelsee was immediately evaluated by her awaiting doctors and surgeons and was scheduled for immediate surgery Sunday morning (8/29).  The surgery went well, however, Kelsee has severe injuries and will have a long road ahead of her to recover. Stacey has said that the doctors and surgeons have been absolutely amazing and Kelsee is in great hands.

I am starting this page so that we can provide updates on Kelsee's recovery to her friends and family, as we know that many are thinking about and praying for her.   While Glen and Stacey are trying to answer as many calls and texts as they can, they really need to be focusing on Kelsee right now.  Please keep prayers coming for Kelsee and her family.

Thanks,
Sandi
