The journey so far...
18 years ago I battled & won my 2 year battle against Hodgkin's Lymphoma. But it took 5 gruelling rounds of Chemo & it never shrank, which it usually does. So, 6 months of radiation was performed. Oh ya, I forgot to mention that the tumor was, & still is, wrapped around my heart & lungs. The radiation was localized to my heart & lungs....hang on there is a point.

After my yearly mammogram I was diagnosed with Invasive Lobular Carcinoma (Breast Cancer) in my left breast. The good news was it is small & no sign of spread so far. The bad news is that they can't do a lumpectomy due to the "toxic" levels of radiation from the first Cancer.
This means a mastectomy is the only option. And since the Cancer was probably due to all the toxic radition. And it could come back later in the other breast ... Yep you guessed it they both need to go.
Silver linings ....
1) Free boob job !!
2) It's probably not hereditary, so my beautiful AllieKat hopefully is safe from all this fun.
