On Friday, 08/25 my mom had a major surgery on the big blood vessels in her legs and in her stomach. Everything went really well and we were optimistic about a speedy recovery. However, on Saturday morning she unfortunately had a stroke which has left her unable to move her left side. She was on placed on life support (the ventilator - a machine that breathes for you) on 8/28 overnight for a few days due to mucus plugging up her airways. Since then, she's been in the intensive care unit.
