Here is a brief back story to bring everyone up to date on how we reached this point:
About a week ago, Kelly started not feeling well. Her fibromyalgia started flaring up and she progressively started feeling worse daily. She and David decided to go to the doctor where he performed blood work. As a couple days passed, she did not improve. Tuesday, April 4th, she fell at home while David was absent. That injury proved to be worse than originally thought and they decided to go to the ER. There, they learned that Kelly actually had a spiral fracture in her leg. They also discovered she had pneumonia.


The hospital began treatment, yet Kelly's oxygen levels continued to decline, her heart rate accelerated, and her blood pressure was low.  Finally, on April 8th, she was put in ICU at Summit Hospital, and they intubated her and the machine is breathing for her. Her oxygen levels were just too low without it.  She has been in a medically induced coma since that time and has been stabilized. Her breathing is now where it should be, at approximately 20 breaths per minute. Her vitals are good and stable and she will probably need to be on the machine until the end of the week.


On the 9th, he pulmonary doctor said the pneumonia was"impressive" and they needed to battle it, this being the best way. Kelly was basically breathing on half a lung.


The purpose of this site is so that we can help alleviate David's high demand of updates to all their friends, family, and loved ones. We will post updates each time we receive one, and will post David's updates as he forwards them.
