Kelli Petty

On Tuesday November 15th, Kelli suffered from severe back pain. By The early morning hours she began to lose feeling in her feet and legs.  We called emergency services. The subsequent investigation found that she had multiple lesions on her spine which caused the loss of feeling and control in her legs. The lesions are the result of undetected breast cancer. She had emergency surgery in hopes to restore her ability to feel her feet, legs, and allow her to walk again. Initial results were not as promising as we had hoped, but she is beginning to have early signs that she will have feeling and movement in her legs. 


Subsequent scans and investigation have determined she has metastatic breast cancer. The known organs that have been affected are as follows; Lung, liver, bones, breast, lymph nodes, and potentially the brain. 


Each of you who are here know Kelli and her incredible spirit. She is an inspirational figure who is a fighter. It is becoming clear, that the fight ahead will be daunting. So many of you have asked how you can help and want to take part in this journey. For that, both Kelli and I are humbled and eternally thankful. 


We will be setting up a go fund me page, I think the link will be in the "Ways to Help" section. It is becoming increasingly clear to us that her needs will be great and beyond what insurance will be able to help us with...  There are several issues that we anticipate in the near future. That is when we are going to really need you!!!

Today is November 18th and Kelli is in surgery as I post this message. They are doing a biopsy of the lymph node and inserting a port, to aid her for future treatment.
