Well there is never a good way to tell your friends and family when you get sick.  But here I go.  On March 2nd after extensive testing I was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Triple Negative Breast Cancer.  The Triple Negative means the 3 hormone receptors that are normally treated first with Chemo do not receive the Chemo so it doesn't work.

So between my Oncologist, Surgeon and a special genetic BRCA test they are working up the right plan to attack my cancer.  This is just the beginning of my journey.  I meet with my surgeon this Thursday March 23rd and on Monday the 28th, an appointment with an Oncologist at Texas Oncology in Houston for a second opinion to go with my Oncologist's opinion here in Beaumont.  So a lot going on,  hopefully next week there will be decisions on which direction I will be going in.  Thanks to all the friends and family that already know and have been a part of  my support system already.  Don't want my story blown up on facebook so I thought this was a better way to communicate how things were going.   Love Ya'll!!
