The journey to where we are today began on January 8th of this year, 2016, when Keith was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a cancer of the bone marrow. It has been a very challenging year with numerous health problems and setbacks that he has overcome. Amid all the health issues there have been so many blessings. We have been amazed at the outpouring of love from family and friends. All of the prayers, cards, phone calls, e-mails, food and helping hands are appreciated so much more than we can say.
Now Keith will be entering Emory Hospital for a stem cell transplant. Although the recovery from this procedure can take several months and it is not without many possible and serious complications, it is what Keith needs to dramatically slow this cancer and have a good quality of life. I will try to make posts every couple of days for the next few weeks to keep everyone updated on his progress. Please continue to keep us in your prayers. Please pray for his healing and for me to have the wisdom and the strength to be for him what he needs most at this time.
