On early Friday morning 8/29, David’s dad, our amazing Papa Keith, suffered a massive stroke. Nancy found him unconscious on the bathroom floor, the ambulance was called and they airlifted him from Hutchinson health to Abbott. Immediately upon arrival they did some scans and then they took him into surgery and removed three clots from his brain.
The MRI revealed that he has severe damage on the right side of his brain, which controls his speech and the left side of his body. They also figured out that he has been in atrial fibrillation which is what caused the clots over time. They put in a feeding tube over the weekend as well.
