Hi. This is Kandi. Welcome to my CaringBridge website. I'm using it to keep family and friends updated at one place. Thank you very, very much for all your concern, support, calls, text messages, and words of hope and encouragement.

Since I'm still working full time and juggling lots of medical appointments, etc. it will help me to update you on this website, rather than calling each one of you with daily updates.

Here goes: I found a lump in my neck, and after getting a biopsy found it is cancer. I've been having lots of other tests to find out where the primary source of the cancer is. Next I will be going to the Comprehensive Cancer Center at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, CA on November 6th for more evaluation.

As you can imagine, all this is very time consuming and overwhelming. I love each one of you and am sorry I have not been able to talk and text more. There are just not enough hours in the day for all I need to do. With my work schedule I now need to make time in my life to fight this through nutrition, exercise, relaxation, sleep, and medical follow-up. So, please stay posted by checking this website.
