Hi, my name is Kayla! Thank you for taking the time to visit my page!
Visit often, read the journals, visit the photo gallery, or write me a note in the guestbook. On the journal page at the top, you can check the email notification box which will notify you once there is an update.
♥ Thank you all for your support, love, encouragement, and prayers! ♥
On May 31st, I was born premature weighing just a tad over 4 pounds. I seemed healthy and was able to go home from the hospital. But days later, a doctor listened to my heart and heard a heart murmur that was previously overlooked. At 8 days old, I was discovered to have a congenital heart defect called a ventricular septal defect (vsd). In simple words a hole in the heart.
May 2011 update: I was told I have extra heart beats and the pressure in my lungs is high so it needs to be watched closely.
August 2011 update: I was also just diagnosed with Pulmonary Hypertension (PH). PH is high blood pressure in the arteries of the lungs that can lead to heart failure.
Pulmonary hypertension is a serious life-threatening illness that becomes progressively worse and is often fatal. Although pulmonary hypertension isn't curable, treatments are available that can help lessen symptoms and improve quality of life.
♥ Faith, Hope, and Courage ♥ A few of my favorite Bible verses that get me through each day: Jeremiah 29:11 - For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD , “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Romans 8:28 - And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
