SUMMARY: On the morning of July 4th, Kaye's husband John was unable to wake her and Kaye was rushed to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital. Despite non-stop prayers from family and friends and round-the-clock efforts by her dedicated medical team, Kaye has not awakened. On July 14th, after all possible avenues for restoring Kaye's higher brain function had been fully pursued, Kaye was removed from life support. Since then she has been resting comfortably in hospice care under the watch of John, Pam (Kaye's sister), family and friends (aptly dubbed Kaye's Miracle Village).
