Kaye Bird Kaye Bird Journalism Fund

As you know, our beloved Kaye Bird passed away after a courageous two year battle with leukemia. Kaye had many passions in life, one of which was writing. For 17 years, she taught eighth grade English and ran the journalism department at the Indiana Junior High School. After she retired and moved back to Spring Valley, Wisconsin, she continued her passion by writing for two local newspapers, the Spring Valley Sun-Argus and the Woodville Leader, as both a reporter and a columnist.

In order to honor Kaye's legacy, we are asking that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Kaye Bird Journalism Fund, which will provide instructional support for middle school journalism students.
