A good friend recommended I start this website so I could keep everyone informed of my health status and any help I might need.  I've tried to keep everyone updated via phone, email, text, Facebook, etc., but have lost track who I've told what and when.  While it's very helpful to talk through things a few times, it gets draining after a while.   But since I have such a wonderful and supportive friends and family network, I want to allow everyone to participate in my story to the level they desire or are able to.  I truly appreciate everything that everyone has done to this point to support me and my family.

What's up with me (sort of a summary):  I have a cavitary lung lesion in the upper lobe of my left lung.  It's very large and so far the doctors have been unable to determine an exact cause.  I'm most likely going to need surgery to remove all the infected/damaged lung tissue.   I'm fine right now, but that could change at any time.  The hardest thing to deal with is the uncertainly that it brings to my family.

I'll add more detail in my Journal.  Thank you for visiting.
