Thank you for caring about Katie! Katie is a senior at Campo Verde High School. She is in their biomedical engineering program and Co-Captain of the Color Guard. She is looking forward to going to ASU in the fall and major in Biomedical Engineering. On November 16-18 Katie had bad headaches. She was a trooper and participated in her final band competition on Saturday. She was so happy that her school came in 2nd place! On Monday, Katie was better and went to school. Her headache returned overnight and we took her to ER. She was airevacted to Good Sam where she had emergency surgery for a brain hemorrhage. The doctors told us that recovery is a long, slow process, but she has age on her side!
We are so appreciative of your support and prayers. They are a great comfort to us! We've realized how difficult it is to communicate Katie's condition with everyone. Hopefully this site can be a forum of updates, assistance and any ideas to help Katie get better!
