As you all know, Katie had been diagnosed with mast cell disease aggressive Systemic Mastocytosis June 2015. She has had several different types of treatments since then in IU Simon Cancer Center in Indy and IU Health Hospital in Muncie. Last Tuesday October 3rd , Katie was admitted to IU Simon Care Center for new chemo treatment and management of her increasing pain. It's been difficult to keep communication between family and friends! Then her awesome cousin, Andrea, suggested using this website to keep in contact with all her friends and family. THANKS Andrea! Katie has had 4 days of tough challenges, testing and new chemotherapy but this morning, she awakened at 6a WITHOUT nausea and truly enjoying the sunshine that is coming thru her window. Thank you Jesus ! Katie has also been that ray of sunshine to other patients here, as well as every staff member on this floor. We will try to update frequently and hope everyone can use this website to update and provide encouragement and prayers for healing and peace.
