Katie had surgery on Monday, January 15 to remove a 7cm x 5cm mass from her brain. The tumor is currently undergoing genotyping at OHSU for 7-10 days. Katie is recovering now at home, trying her best to stay off facebook. She'll be off work for 30 days at least. The genotyping (analyzing) of the mass will take 7-10 days. Then the medical folks will be able to set a very specific treatment course. It will likely include chemotherapy and radiation, starting in February.
Katie and Matt and Teddy would love prayers and food and messages of support. There are links on this site to a Meal Train and a calendar of activities that would help keep things going for the Reitels.
