On the afternoon of October 27th, 2021, Katie was admitted to the U of M East Bank Hospital with severe bleeding. After an emergency endoscopy and some other testing, she was told that she had a mass in her colon. Fortunately, her doctors found that the cancer had not metastasized, and therefore was stage 1-3. She will have surgery to have the mass removed, which will likely be scheduled for the end of November. We have created this Caring Bridge site to keep family and friends updated on Katie’s health.
