Katie McElroy Wright is a beautiful vivacious young woman who was born 28 years ago with a rare liver disease, biliary atresia. She has been living a normal life with her native liver since birth. She graduated from Brookwood High School in Georgia in 2008 and Oklahoma Christian University in 2012. She married her high school sweetheart and best friend Elliot that same year. She started working at the Oklahoma Christian University bookstore and is now the manager there. She has been enjoying her life with family, friends , her kitty River, and her work until last Monday when her liver failed. After a week of roller coaster improvements and setbacks we are finally waiting for her to be put on the transplant list.
