Katie Bailey KJ's Mountain Movers

Thank you for visiting our page. We hope you will join us in our passion for moving the mountains to which God chooses to lead us.

On June 29th, Katie was diagnosed with a form of Leukemia known as AML. Beginning her journey at the Vanderbilt Children's Hospital, Katie was educated on what the process would look like and how to move forward from there. We soon learned of an opening at St. Jude Research Hospital in Memphis, TN and transport was arranged. She arrived early on the first of July and began procedures the next day. Currently situated in her fourth-floor room, she stays busy interacting with hospital personnel and discovering the many capabilities of her living space.

We appreciate the thoughts and prayers of all our friends and family. Continued strength of immunity is at the top of our prayer request list. Good results from blood and bone marrow tests is a close second. As Katie fights this battle internally, we can step along side her and fight on our knees.

We all praise God for His constant reminders that He is with us. There are many reasons to give Him glory, even as we experience this unexpected and difficult time. Join us in worshiping Him, not only for the daily blessings, but more importantly for the sacrifice He made to give us a hope for a life beyond this fallen world.

(Updated)-
In January 2020 Katie was deemed cancer free and released from St Jude Memphis to go home.  She enjoyed 4  months of being home before and during the Covid-19 pandemic.  On April 24th we received the results from a bone marrow biopsy done in Huntsville the day before.  It revealed Katie's AML had returned.

Sunday April 26 we drove back to Memphis with heavy hearts knowing this trip would include a Bone Marrow Transplant.  Driving in the gates of St Jude we did feel a peace that God places over this hospital.  He is present here and showed us we are in the best place for pediatric cancer.
