Kathy was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in early March 2016. She began treatment shortly thereafter and is now fighting the disease with incredible courage and strength.
While it's difficult to call cancer a blessing, Kathy clings to the truth that "for those who love God, all things work together for good" [Romans 8:28]. In the midst of this heavy trial, Kathy and her family have had front row seats to see how God redeems brokenness by pressing his children into the promises of his Word and by lifting their eyes to behold the eternal hope of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. "So we do not lose heart...for this light and momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison" [II Corinthians 4:17].
Kathy deeply covets your prayers, namely that her treatment is effective in rolling back the cancer and that she is ultimately healed and restored to full health, but also that through her ordeal, God's name might be glorified, hearts might be strengthened, and souls might be saved. Thank you all for your priceless friendship. Kathy loves and cherishes each one you, and is so grateful for the unique ways that God is using you to encourage and support her along this difficult journey.
