Kathy Smith

As Kathleen's Alzheimer progresses - it seemed fitting to start a site where friends (and there are many) and family can check in on her health status and receive updates that may occur though the process of a very cruel disease, but one that is being fought hard by both Kathy and the loved ones around her.


Diagnosed at 70 years of age - Kathy has lived with the disease for about 4 years now.  She lived independently (after first being diagnosed) for a short period of time (5 months) and then moved to assisted living in Berlin, Md.   She was recently moved to the memory care level at the urging of her caretakers and has lived there for only 2 months now, before recently falling and breaking her hip last week (5/17).
