Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

After years of struggling with worsening knee pain, Kathy decided to have a total knee replacement.  On January 21, 2019 she had surgery and it went well.  Two nights in the hospital and she was discharged home.  Kathy attended outpatient physical therapy and with "gentle pushing" did her home exercises.  After 3 weeks she ditched the walker for a cane and was even doing laundry!  To continue her progress, Jerry and Kathy had begun taking walks outside.  On Friday, February 15, 2019  Kathy didn't feel right when she woke up.  She was not able to make it to the shower without assistance from both Jerry and a walker.  Jerry took her to the emergency room, and it was discovered that Kathy had a stroke.
