I've lost 35 pounds! In November I began to lose weight. Ordinarily I would be ecstatic, but I did it the hard way - unable to keep anything down, eventually losing my appetite altogether. Holidays took precedence and I ignored what was happening. On January 2nd I went to the doctor which prompted a series of tests and I was diagnosed with lymphoma of the spleen. The spleen must come out, at which time they will determine what type and stage of lymphoma, and begin appropriate treatment. Best case scenario is that the disease is contained to the spleen and no further treatment will be necessary. Anything other than that will be addressed following surgery. There is more testing to be done prior to surgery and I don't yet know when the surgery will occur. I will keep everyone posted through this site so please do not call or text me.
