Kathy Larkin has been at William Beaumont Hospital since April 4, 2018. After long and extensive testing for a month, she was diagnosed with MDS (Myelodysplastic Syndrome). This disease is complex and has many variables making treatment extremely difficult. Kathy has underwent numerous transfusions to replace platelets, a trial drug treatment for platelet levels (a very expensive drug) and rehabilitation. She has developed three bacterial infections that have prevented full recovery and kept her from coming home. It has been a long, hard battle with little victory to date. The struggle continues daily with an unknown outcome. Please help Kathy to keep fighting and to win. You can make a donation for Kathy's long-term care expenses just click "Ways To Help"and scroll down to the GoFundMe website. Your care and support is appreciated more than you know.
