Kathy Kamp

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Kathy decided to doing a little jig with a leprechaun last Tuesday, November 22.  It didn't work out as planned, and she ended up breaking her tibia.  As her doctor described it, her thigh bone did a pile-drive into her tibia, shattering it.  She had surgery Wednesday evening and with the help of a plate, some screws, and caulk (or glue depending on who you ask ;) she was put back together.
I write this Sunday 11/27, and we think she will be discharged from the hospital tomorrow at some point.  Kathy will need to be off her leg for the next 2-3 months.  She has to use a walker or wheelchair during that time and is still quite heavily medicated for pain.   So this is a little information on what happened and a way for you all to help with some friend time, meals, and other miscellaneous help Kathy, Todd, and Keefe may need.  Thanks for your friendship and whatever time you can spare.
