It was certainly a surprise when just at my 5 year anniversary from my first breast cancer journey and feeling like I had made it- a growth appeared on my right side between my breast (where I had cancer before) and my shoulder. I certainly didn't think breast cancer because of the location.
I soon learned that my battle this time was far bigger than my first journey. It was an aggressive form of breast cancer. It was stage 4 and had metastasized to my spine, ribs, and hips.
My first three months of chemo was new for me as I was on pills vs. infusions. I tolerated it really well with just being tired and not having much appetite.
God created a miracle and after this treatment the metastasized cancer cells were dead. However the large mass was still growing.
So I had surgery to add a port and had my first infusion chemo on June 8.
I am confident that God will heal me.... Kathy
