Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Many of you already know Katelyn’s  story however some of you may not. Katelyn’s  was born with Neonatal epilepsy  at the age of nine weeks as well  iretractable epilepsy meaning epilepsy not controlled by medication. In the first three short years of Katelyns life she went underwent three brain surgeries one being a hemispherectomy,  meaning  severing the  corpus callosum that  connects both hemispheres. Katelyn’s last Brian surgery was October 19, 2011.  Katelyn  has been seizure free since that date, which is a true blessing in disguise.  Unfortunately this past Sunday Katelyn  had another grand maul seizure.  At this time she is stable due to the increase of epileptic medication.  Next week we will be spending the week in Boston to do a 72 hour EEG .  I have created this page so that all the wonderful people in our lives can support us through the next couple months as we continue to fight for Katelyn.  Thank you 😊
