It's time I catch you up on some unhappy news. I am not sure who may know this already from Susan.
Susan's oldest daughter, Kate Schwendinger (Springfield, MO), was in a serious car accident in Springfield on Dec. 27. She was airlifted to Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis that night and has been there in intensive care until Wednesday when she was moved to a regular room. On Dec. 28, She had lengthy surgery on her spine and ankle.
She DOES have feeling and movement in all limbs, which is a blessing; however, her rehab will probably be extensive. She has to wear a neck brace and has a lot of pain. As of today, arrangements are in the works to find a rehab facility in KC near Susan. When that happens, I will post Kate's address and try to keep you updated.
