Katharine Hase Kate's Breast Cancer Loop

First post: Jun 9, 2017 Latest post: Apr 3, 2018
Hello friends - I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer on February 3, 2017.  Through a routine mammogram, two tumors were discovered on my lefts side measuring 1.5 and 1.2 cm.  Officially, it is a stage 1b, triple positive (Er+, PR+, Her2+),  Invasive Ductal Carcinoma (IDC).  I had a lumpectomy on March 7, 2017, followed by oncoplastic reduction and reconstruction, as well as a corresponding reduction and lift on my right side for symmetry.  Due to the nature of the cancer, both chemotherapy and radiation were recommended as treatment.  Though it is a scary and unexpected diagnosis, Kevin and I can see that God was preparing us in many ways to walk this path.  We want to press in to know Him better through this trial so that, in the end, this story will bring glory to His name and be an encouragement to others. ~Kate

Just to share, this is the song that God gave me and was on my heart and lips the day I was diagnosed: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PAq_ktNixzM
