Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Family and friends are aware that Karon had a major life changing surgery last year, and she became a miracle of God in her recovery.   In early December 2016 she said she felt very close to normal.   Nearer to Christmas she began having difficulty eating and became very weak which resulted in David hospitalizing her for a week.  At that time we were told she had a sudden developing stage four liver failure--a non alcoholic type.  This is a result of past surgery resulting in severe malnutrition.

She was turned down for a liver transplant because of her poor condition including difficulty absorbing necessary medications that would be required for the rest of her life.

She has not regained strength or appetite at this time, but we are hopeful with daily nutrition via a central venous line that that will change.

This site will make it easier for David and me, her sister Jo( or Norma Jo to many of you), to update those concerned about her condition and to receive well wishes, words of encouragment, prayers and blessings from all of you.
