For he will be like a tree planted by the water, that extends its roots by a stream and will not fear when the heat comes; but its leaves will be green and it will not be anxious in a year of drought nor cease to yield fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-8

I am beginning a journey through a “year of drought” so to speak. On January 14, 2014, I received the news that I have breast cancer. I do not know where this journey will lead, but I do know this: God is God, He is good, and He does all things well. My trust is in Him.

The Lord in all His goodness has been preparing me for this. Even though the "c" word is a shock on every level, still He has been whispering to my heart that although there's a difficult path ahead He has promised that there is no need for me to be anxious in this "year of drought." He is with me.
