Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

I had a follow up CT scan on May 27th which my doctor had scheduled for every 4 months, as a precaution. I was not expecting for there to be any changes, but there was. I had my appt on June 3rd with my pulmonary doctor and was given more details  of the results, everything became a blur after that, I was immediately scheduled for biopsies of the area in my lung for 5:30 am on Tuesday June 4th, the preliminary results were positive for cancer and the final results came in on Thursday June 6th and it was what I expected it is lung cancer(adenosquamous carcinoma) I had lung surgery last July and a section of my lung was removed with no other treatments necessary at the time. I’m not sure if surgery will be needed along with treatments of chemo/radiation until I have a two part PET scan this week as well as an MRI of my brain to see if the cancer has spread
and an appt with my oncologist and surgeon. Once those tests results are completed then the cancer will be staged and then the options will be discussed with me. I’m a breast cancer survivor of almost 15 years, but this cancer is not related to my breast cancer. I had a bi lateral mastectomy in 2004, and to say that I’m scared and worried would be an understatement. I was to start a new job but that was put on hold for now. Please continue to keep me in your prayers! 🙏🏼 Thank you for all the thoughts and prayers that have been sent my way. 🙏🏼
