Karen was feeling poorly with flu like symptoms for a couple weeks in March and had gone to a doctor and was treated for an infection. After another week went by she was admitted to Holy Family Memorial Hospital on Monday, April 4th. By the next day they transferred her to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. She was suffering from acute liver failure. By the end of the week she was placed on the liver transplant list, as her liver was not showing signs of recovering. She was blessed with a match and had the transplant surgery in the early morning hours of Tuesday, April 12. This was followed by another surgery that afternoon. She is now working on recovering. Your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated.
